Softer lines. Brighter-looking skin. A little more rested. Whatever brings you here, the starting point is the same: a conversation about you.

Meet Clare

Hello, I’m Clare.
Let’s keep it personal.

Clare, founder of Costhetics, in burgundy clinical scrubs
ClareNHS anaesthetic practitioner

I work for the NHS as an anaesthetic practitioner, alongside over a decade in aesthetics. I take the time to understand what you would like to discuss and explain your options clearly.

Your care starts with a proper history and an individual assessment. We’ll talk about what treatment can realistically offer, the risks, the cost and the aftercare. If a treatment isn’t suitable, I’ll explain why.

My approach is considered and personal: working with your features and your preferences, with time for you to decide.

What you can expect

  • Personal advice from Clare
  • A clear treatment plan and full cost before you decide
  • Time to think, with no pressure to proceed
  • Treatment-specific aftercare and a way to get in touch

Depends on your skinQuoted at your chat
What counts as an “area”?One of: forehead lines, frown lines between the brows, or crow's feet.
Nervous of needles?Nanoneedling uses very fine tips at the skin's surface. There's no deep needling, so most people have little more than brief redness.

Questions

What everyone asks first.

Will I look frozen?

Not unless you want a stronger result. I dose for the amount of movement you'd like to keep. Starting with light-touch means we can add a little more later if you want it.

Does it hurt?

Most people describe a quick scratch. The needles are very fine and each area takes a few minutes. Nanoneedling feels like light pressure on the skin.

When will I see a difference, and how long does it last?

Anti-wrinkle treatment starts working within a few days and settles by about two weeks. Results usually last three to four months. Skin treatments build gradually over a course.

Can I go straight back to work?

Usually, yes. You might have small marks or a little redness for a few hours. I'll give you clear aftercare, such as avoiding exercise for the rest of the day.

What are the risks?

Mild bruising, tenderness or a headache are the most common. Rarely, a brow or eyelid can feel heavy for a few weeks until it wears off. We'll go through every risk before you decide.

Is anyone unsuitable for treatment?

Treatment isn't suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and some medical conditions and medicines rule it out. That's why I always take a full medical history first.

Why can't I just book treatment online?

Anti-wrinkle treatment uses a prescription medicine, so you must be assessed in person first. It's a legal safeguard and simply good practice.
